It was a slow day at the University of Phoenix Research Lab. Instead of curing cancer or a variety of other diseases, the staff spent the afternoon polling the lunch room with this question: what is their employees favorite yellow fruit?
There was an early confusion because some people lumped yellow and orange fruits together. One worker said, “I mean peaches, mango, pineapple, they are kinda yellow on the inside too, right? But I mean if it’s just yellow, bananas are the undisputed champ.”
After hearing some complaints from the lemon supporters, Hans Gordon, a spokesman for the study replied, “It’s not even worth discussing. How many times have you brought a lemon as a snack to work or the gym? Never. I mean that saying ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade’ is because lemons are so terrible and lemonade is actually good.”
