“It’s about time.”
After years of bankrupt productions, and straight to DVD films, failed doggy actor, Uggie, died at the age of 13, and it couldn’t have been sooner. The Jack Russell, who made it big in the movie The Artist, has had one of the saddest declines of a celebrity since Lindsay Lohan. The actor went from a promising fresh face to a pile of dog turds- and Uggie did just about the same.
The dog was found in a Las Vegas hotel two nights ago atop a pile of Hershey Kiss wrappers, chocolate smeared over his face. He was discovered by his friend and ex-lover, Corey Feldman.
Uggie, which tried relentlessly to score another film as meaningful as The Artist, slowly lost touch with his own reality. Constantly losing money to gambling debts and drugs, his life was a downward spiral the moment he signed his first autograph. While it is undetermined if the cause of death was a suicide, his owner, friends, and even family of Uggie are all convinced and glad he finally had the guts to end his sad, pathetic life.
