Amid giant controversy with FIFA, with seven of its officials arrested this week and indicted on corruption charges by the US Department of Justice, one official has already been acquitted.
It didn’t take long for U.S. officials to let South American football governing body president Eugenio Figueredo off the hook after he fell to the ground from an accidental nudge by a security guard. Quickly, Figueredo grabbed his ankle and started to cry like a small, infant baby.
Many of the other officials swarmed Figueredo and the surrounding guards to complain of the mistreatment of prisoners.
The guards and U.S. officials were so taken aback, that they felt the best thing to do was to drop all charges handed to Figueredo and allow him a free kick to the guard’s balls.
